Core Issue
This issue occurs only on routers that run the Cisco IOS image from DRAM and when there is not enough memory for the image in Flash to decompress.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, perform one of these options:
- Upgrade the DRAM.
Refer to the Memory Requirements section of How to Choose a Cisco IOS Software Release. This calculates the amount of DRAM required for your image.
- Load an appropriate image for the current memory size.
