Odd question. Is it possible to search for a products VID number from the serial number of the device? We have switches deployed that we need to identify the VID number but cannot physically look at the labels as they are racked and in production. Is there a tool that could tell us this information by providing the serial number to get further information about the hardware. Appreciate any insight here and thanks in advance.

Thanks Leo. Another problem is that we have switches in inventory that are not in production. Before retrieving them we need to verify the VID as well. Unfortunately we don't always have the ability to physically look at the labels before they get checked out. Essentially we would need a quick way to find out the VID number from the serial number that's documented in our inventory system without having access to the switch physically or through CLI. I was hoping for some sort of method or tool through the website. Anything like that exist?
