Hi,
before the changes that extended the recertification period for CCIE certifications to 3 years it used to be a 2 year recertification period, during which time you were considered 'active', followed by a 1 year period during which time you were considered 'suspended'. If you didn't recertify before the 1 year 'suspended' period expired it was then you became 'inactive' and had to do the written+lab to get your CCIE back.
The CCIE Emeritus requirements mention you need to hold an active CCIE certification for 10 years. If someone's CCIE status was suspended at some point during the 10 year period but never went inactive, are they still entitled to Emeritus status at the end of those 10 years?
Thanks
