Cisco Packet Tracer 9.0 open beta has been released a few days ago and is now available for download.

The industrial & cyber features included in Packet Tracer 9.0 are awesome : 

• A new Catalyst IE-3400 (IE-3400-8P2S-A) rugged multilayer switch
• A new ISA-3000 (ISA-3000-2C2F-K9) industrial firewall 
• A new Data Historian server 
• A new Cyber Observers server

Hi Guys,

There are a lot of individuals asking about Cisco Packet Tracer Compatibility between Version 8.2.1, Version 8.2.2, and Version 9 (BETA).

Please note that I tested these configurations on date 06-22-2025 (22 June 2025). Also note that this is my opinion and viewpoint that I share with you.

Documentation has been added in Cisco Packet Tracer 9.0 open beta July update (menu help -> Contents) . Two new industrial routers routers have also been added. Check Updated Packet Tracer 9.0 beta available for download for details.

Hi, I hope you are doing well.
I am currently trying to simulate/implement the PERA (Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture) model in Cisco Packet Tracer, but I am not able to find proper resources or tutorials.

Could you please guide me or share any videos, blogs, documentation, or example projects that explain how to configure different layers of the Purdue model (like L0–L3.5) in Cisco Packet Tracer?
Even partial examples, lab files, or learning material would be very helpful.
