I'm having a hard time installing the custom VM for the Ethical Hacker course on my Apple MacBook Air M2 with MacOS Sonoma.
I tried installing UTM then downloading the virtual machine multiple times but I always get stuck on a blank page when i try to start the VM (I followed the video instructions step-by-step of course). In order to follow the lessons I used VmWare Fusion with KALI, but this way i don't to have a fully working lab needed the course. Has anyone had the same issue? Any alternatives to the custom VM? Thanks

I can confirm this problem: the Ethical Hacker UTM VM does not boot on M2.
Solution / Workaround: The problem occurs only on ARM M2 based macOS computers. The UTM VM works on ARM M1. On ARM M2 the VM stops at the UEFI shell and does not boot Kali. However, one can manually boot the Kali VM by typing in the following command:
fs0:\efi\kali\grubaa64.efi
