Have you tried uninstall and reinstall or use a different version? I am not sure this is something that you can fix by change configuration on the sofware.

Is it PT on MAC? I think we had similar issue; something wrong with MAC OS; if similar post was not post here; then maybe on Cisco Learning Network; I would go to CLN PT forum to see solution or root cause
