Content filtering is not blocking inappropriate sites

I have a ticket and awaiting a response, but thought I'd see if anyone can help. I reset my router which knocked out parental controls on my netgear genie. Now the genie doesn't work (will not recognize that I am on a supported router) so I decided to load Open DNS VIP externally. I populated the router with the server info 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. I added my IP (dynamic indicated) as a home network on Open DNS account. I went to the configure web filtering settings page and first tried customizing setting without results,  then low, then moderate over the course of 24 hours to see if anything stuck, and still able to pull up some risque sites (so can my child). I worked with a computer repair shop tech remotely who also uses Open DNS to check my settings and cannot find anything wrong. Any thoughts why my content filtering is bust? Also, any idea when an Open DNS ticket is answered? Thanks for any help

First of all, you cannot use Netgear LPC and any other OpenDNS service in parallel.  These are incompatible.

If you copy & paste the complete plain text output of the following diagnostic commands to here, I may be able to see what's going on:

nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com.
nslookup whoami.akamai.net.

And your ticket will be answered when the ticket is due in their queue.

Your router does not forward your DNS traffic to OpenDNS, but to another DNS service (Chicago scaleengine.net), probably your ISP.  It looks like this router simply ignores your configuration.  You had to refer to your router supplier, i.e. Netgear.

I do not think that OpenDNS can help you with this.  You don't have to wait for a response to your ticket.

For the time being you can configure the OpenDNS resolver addresses on your end user devices.

Thank you for your help! Greatly appreciated.

opendns is not filtering the content, meanwhile using the DNS opendns in router.

And now? Where are the command outputs?
