OpenDNS Dynamic IP updater client for Android?

Basically I want to monitor my kid's android mobile internet activity.  I rarely use laptop on home wifi.  

So will I have to start my laptop and use this OpenDNS Updater software to update IPs before my kid uses internet on mobile?

What if I am at office and he uses internet at home?  How to update the ip in that case?

Not sure what you mean by "for Android".  DNS is not about particular devices, but a general internet standard, independent from operating systems.  And OpenDNS is a service for networks you own, not for your devices on other networks.

An update client must run only out of the network where you want to use OpenDNS, because your IP address is known only in this network.  If it runs outside, it updates your dashboard with any believable unrelated IP address from the location where it is just running.

Therefore I use the built-in DDNS update client of my router to keep my IP address information of my home network updated at OpenDNS.

And yes, there are DDNS update clients available for Android in the Google Play Store, but I cannot recommend to run them, especially not on roaming devices connecting from outside your network via other WiFi and mobile internet, for the reasons outlined above.

@rotblitz Hello thanks for your kind help!  Unfortunately, I am not a tech so guy so plz excuse my knowledge.  

So if I am using my home wifi network only then I don't have to use any updater?.. whether on laptop or mobile?

I say it again: An update client must run only out of the network where you want to use OpenDNS.  What's so unclear with this statement?   So yes, if you got a dynamic IP address from your ISP, you'll have to run an updater within your home network - and only there.

This update client can be software on a computer or smart device which is always in this network, or a built-in update client on your router, DVR, NAS, IP camera, etc.

In order to update OpenDNS, the update client must support at least one of OpenDNS, DNS-O-Matic or "custom / user defined".

Thanks again @rotblitz for your clarification.  So I understood that I will have to run the updater every time (as most probably I would be having dynamic IP in my home address).

But I think I will have to look for an alternate technology to monitor my kid's internet activity as I cannot run the updater on my laptop everytime.  My kid's mobile/tablet are the only devices using home wifi so (apart from updater client installation on router) there is no way the IP will get updated.. :(

If you want to monitor your kid's online activities, then OpenDNS stats and logs are suboptimal anyway.  These show your DNS traffic only, not the web, mail and other traffic you may be mainly interested in.  DNS traffic is only loosely related to web, mail and other traffic.

I'm really not sure what your question has to do with "OpenDNS Dynamic IP updater client for Android" what this thread is about...

And no, I cannot suggest anything, but guess what, Android was not made "to monitor web activities".  You may search Google Play for an app which may log web activities somehow, or you may refer to the Android developers to ask if there is a debug flag built in Android which enables web activity logging.
