To login in on website my password works but if I go to use the DNS updater program it tells me there's a problem verifying my info. Why is that?

Ensure that your password does not contain special characters reserved for URL encoding/escaping.

password only has letters and numbers. Well I wasn't getting my email after changing the DNS. After I set it back to the original I started getting my mail again. Something isn't working for me so I'm not going to change my DNS

It seems your other e-mail provider treats OpenDNS e-mails as spam. Check your spam folders and ensure that you provided a correct and working e-mail address.
You can check the update function with this URL in a browser to see if it's your password or something else causing problems:
https://updates.opendns.com/nic/update?hostname=NetworkLabel
Replace NetworkLabel by your network label from https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/
If you're still facing problems, raise support ticket with OpenDNS. Staff must check your account.
