bridge-group circuit-group questions

Hey,

I am setting up a bridge-group in a 3640 router for redundancy and I am considering tying all the interfaces in the bridge-group together into a circuit-group to keep the bandwidth.

Questions: If one interface in a circuit-group fails, will the whole group be blocked, or will the load continue to be distributed among the remaining interfaces?

Is there anything on the switch side I need to configure to set up the circuit-group?

Thanks

BT

BT,

As long as one port of the circuit group is in the forwarding state, all ports in that circuit group will participate in load distribution regardless of their spanning-tree port states.

Circuit groups are used to load balance across multiple parallel serial lines between a pair of routers.
