help with importing csv file

I am trying to import a .csv file into Resource Manager and I am having a heck of a time trying to make it work. I first export the existing database, and choose csv version 2.0 format. that goes ok. I then open that file with excel, make the changes I need, and close it. It barks at me about formatting and features won't be saved. whether I choose yes or no, when I try to import it back, it says that the formatting is incorrect. I also tried a save as...and chose .csv format, but it didn't like that either. How can I make this work? It would have been nice if Cisco had the forethought to make it so you could enter multiple devices at once under their "Add devices" tab in Resource Manager.

Try this, export the database to a csv file. Open it in a text editor like Notepad. Copy the header and save it to another file, then delete it from the csv. Now, open the file in Excel and edit it. Once you are done, save as .csv in Excel. Open the file in Notepad and paste back the saved header info.
