I can't get into rom Mode either.
Any ideas?

- Probably not related but check full operation of the serial-operator-interface-app you are using on another device , chances that relates are small , but it's worth a check. Otherwise factory reset the 2600 and try again.

Hello,
your device (and IOS version) are from around the turn of the century (when Bill Clinton was still the president of the US). Chances are your flash is broken, that is usually the first thing that goes with these ancient devices.
I guess you have tried to get into ROMMON by powering off/on the router, then hitting the BREAK key on your keyboad...?
If that does not work, I am afraid your device is dead.
