hello,
I'm very new to the world of vpn's so pls bear with me. I have client 3.51installed on a remote Win2000 laptop. I can dial in and browse the corporate lan and connect to Exchange. In the Status window, it always shows that the the Access to local LAN is disabled, even though the Allow access to local LAN setting is checked in the property page of the client. I'm thinking that this could be the reason why, when connected to the vpn, I am unable to browse or run any apps that need to access the internet. I am unable to ping any internet addresses.
Any ideas?
Thanks

You may want to check for this statement on your VPN gateway if you are using PIX
"vpngroup (name) split-tunnel (access-list #)"

Don't know if your corporate LAN utilizes a proxy server to get to the internet. If they do, you would need to ensure that those settings are active in your browser once you are connected into your network. Conversly, those settings would need to be clicked off to browse after you drop your VPN connection to your network.
