I have just migrated to PIX V7.11 and ASDM V5.11 (from PIX V6.3, PDM V3):
Interesting function is the capability to get the real-time syslogs messages, and the very nice function (just available in ASDM 5.11, not in 5.04) that allows to select 1 syslog message to find the associated rule, or, in case of a deny message, to create a rule allowing the denied traffic ;
this can be useful, sometimes
The bad point, compared to PDM, is that the panel used to create Hosts and Groups is terribly small (and fonts are a little bigger than with PDM), so, that, it is impossible to see the complete name fo resources without using the scrolling bar; if I use PDM (from the same PC, with same screen definition) I don't have such a problem;
for the Group, it is even worse if you have groups with a lot of members;
my configuration is about 150KB in size, so, it is far from the described 500KB ASDM limit ;

Does anybody know how to suggest CISCO ASDM developpers to improve this very important aspect ?
