I'm sorry i'm new to cisco router, and i have a question which i'm looking for suggestion/advice from you.
How can i know my router bandwidth utilization? This is because my branches application is running slow through VPN connection to my HQ.
If the workaround doesn't involve cost will be great.
Thanks.

I think youll have to use SNMP (http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/477/SNMP/calculate_bandwidth_snmp.html) or some other tool.

A show interface on the router will give you the average utilisation over the last 5 minute period.
If you want to graph out your utilisation over a periop of time you need a snmp management tool such as CiscoWorks or SNMPc.
You can download an evaluation copy of SNMPc from http://www.castlerock.com/
cheers

use show inteeface command. Check the Load. You can tell how much bandwidth is being used.

The besh way to track the BW utilization is by using MRTG software, its free, runs in NT and Unix. Gives a graphical instantenous BW utlization of inbound and outbound traffic on each cisco interface, sub interface.
You can find the software at
