I just upgraded our PIX to 520 running 5.25
It has this command in the config by default.
ip audit info action alarm
ip audit attack action alarm
What does this mean and how can I utilize it ?
I couldn't find any documentation on the book.
Thanks,

Hello,
The commands that you are referring to are for configuring Cisco's Intrusion Detection System. I don't know if you have any use for it right now. But if you do it will make your life (and the life of your organization) much better. You can look this info up in Cisco's technical documents. I hope that helped you some.

Thanks,
I will reserach the command in the IDS tech. docs. Hopefully, my PIX 5.25 can utilize this command. Is the IDS capabilities built in the PIX ?
Thanks again
