does anyone know if the Code Red has impact on OSPF Routing process ???
Thanks

Hello Omar,
No, code red has nothing to do with OSPF. OSPF is the routing protocol that builds up the routing table (routing path). Code Red uses this path to exploit the resources (like create thousands of http connections). Code Red virus expoit doesn't care how the path is created (whether using RIP or OSPF or BGP). Routing protocols and the regular traffic are two different elements. To the best of my knowledge ospf itself doesn't have any known security vulnerabilities.
I hope this answers your question. Thanks,
Mynul
