CPU Utilization at IOS Upgradation:

Hello,

I have a problem in upgrading my bundled AS5800 IOS with TFTP server. The resources I have at my 7206 is 128 MB RAM, 16 MB Flash, NPE 200 with a Fastethernet and AS5800 .

Whenever we try IOS upgradation from c5800-p4-mz.113-9.AA2 (5.6 MB) to c5800-k8p4-mz.122-7b.bin (12 MB) the cpu utilization reaches 100% and the upgration fails.

I would appreciate your sincere efforts if any of you guys address this issue.

Thanks,

Well it could be due to the memory shortage IOS even when deleted will still reside in the memory you have to use squeeze command to remove it permenantly.

One more reason could be that your TFTP server and your router could be in different subnets, try keeping them in the same subnet.
