CSA Location-aware?

I have a pdf entitled "Cisco Security Agent with Intrusion Protection for Remote Corporate Users" in which it states that one of the features of CSA is

"Location-aware protection —The Cisco Security Agent allows normal network use—for example, sharing files between computers—while in the office, but prevents these risky activities when the computer is in a remote location."

I cannot however find any reference to this functionality elsewhere. Is this possible using CSA currently? If so,how is it configured?

I am not sure where you got this pdf file but location aware policies is a new feature in the upcoming 4.5 release. Does the document you have say anything about this being a roadmap'ed feature? Sorry for the confusion but this type of functionality is on the way.

Scott, this pdf may be sourced from Cisco, but it doesn't reference this as a roadmap feature, or indeed make any reference to the product roadmap.

I now know why theres no other reference to this in the existing documentation however! Is this something that is likely to be available in the near future, or more of a long term piece of additional functionality? I have a customer who is looking to obtain this kind of location awareness, and this could be a key factor in CSA's favour.

Interesting. I have not seen anything external talking about location aware policies as a feature. As mentioned before, location aware policies are slated for the 4.5 release. Timeframe on this is still scheduled for late summer this year (guessing sometime in the August/Sep timeframe). I would suggest speaking with your local Cisco account team to see about getting a more firm date. There are a number of other new features in the 4.5 release which is going to make this one of the biggest CSA releases to date. Hope this helps.
