CSA - MS Office apps using regedit?

All- I am starting a trial of CSA and have started seeing some interesting activity. One thing I noticed was that when using MS Office applications, I sometimes get an alert like this:

8/25/2004 10:27:25 AM: The process 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\WINWORD.EXE' (as user CORP\JHathcoc) tried to open/read the file 'C:\WINNT\regedit.exe' and was denied.

Is this normal activity? Will I break something in MS Word/Excel/etc if I continue to deny this? Does anyone know what Word and friends are doing behind the scenes? I am running MS Office 2003 on Win2k.

I have seen this happen also. From what I noticed it seems to only happen if the user starts word or excel from the office shortcut bar. I am not sure why this happens and I haven't really had the time to look into but I am curios as to why it happens.
