DNS SERVER IS INCORRECECT OR DOESN'T EXIST

Hi Everyone

 

Sorry if I'm posting in wrong topic 

I have issue regarding to windows virtual server please find attached pictures for clarifying

 

I made rules in FortiGate to allow server access to internet (80,8080)

and when I access to server there is an internet connection and I can ping to google 8.8.8.8 and to other servers

but the problem is I can't open any website google or update windows and I have searched a lot but I couldn't figure it out lease can anyone help me with this issue ??

You're asking about a Windows host and a Fortinet firewall. 

 

I think you would be better off trying Fortinet support.

 

(However I do note that your screenshot has you trying and failing to go to https sites. Those will generally use tcp/443 and not tcp/80 or tcp/8080. You should also be allowing DNS (udp/53) in order to resolve addresses.)

In the fortinet. You have windows firewall turned off.

 

Also, Windows firewall generally applies to connection that are initiated TOWARDS your host. When the host itself initiates, the return traffic is automatically trusted and allowed even when the firewall is turned on and there is no explicit rule for that return traffic.
