I have a ISR 4221 K9 running IOS XE version 16.10 . Before starting configure i had stopped PnP funtion by command : "pnpa service discovery stop " then enter config mode by " config-transaction " . I trialed to assign IP for serial port :
interface GigabitEthernet ge0/0/0
ip address 10.0.31.2 255.0.0.0
no shutdown
exit
But when i wanted to save the configuration by command " commit" the router refused with a notice : "The device refuse one or more command " . Who can help me please .
