Flash memory upgrade procedure needed

I have a number of Cisco ASA 5520 devices with varying amounts of system flash memory (64-256MB). I have purchased replacement memory for these systems (512MB) but am now unable to locate an upgrade procedure although I did identify such a procedure previously. I have a suitable card reader and my recollection was that I could use this to copy the files from the existing card to the new card but would appreciate detailed guidance.
