Function CreateFile Error Message

I have installed the VPN Client - Version 4.7.00.0533 on Windows XP and it will not connect. I am getting the following error message over and over:

1 11:54:31.484 02/05/06 Sev=Warning/2 CVPND/0xE3400003

Function CreateFile failed with an error code of 0x00000002(DRVIFACE:718)

I cannot find any information on this particular message. Any ideas would be appreciated - this is very frustrating!

Hello,

there might be an incompatibility with other software. The only occasion I know of producing this error is, when the VPN client is installed together with the debugger SoftICE. They won´t be able to coexist on the same machine.

Thanks for the reply but I don't think that's the problem. Is there something specific I can look for as to why they are not compatible (maybe another program I use has the same problem). The notification says this:

Initializing the connection...

Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client.

Reason 440: Driver Failure.

Connection terminated on: Feb 14, 2006 13:12:19 Duration:

Not connected.
