We have CSA in test mode and we are still finding AutoCAD LT crashes with CSA installed.
Once CSA has been removed this problem doesn't occur.
AutoCAD LT will abort with the following error:
FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0054 Exception at 72cbc3h

Which version of CSA are you running? There was a bug in build 540.

You must also do these steps outlined in the CSCec83770 bug toolkit:
"Workaround:
In CSA 4.0.2 and 4.0.3, this problem can be solved with the following steps:
1) Enable the behavior change with the following command:
cd \program files\cscopx\csamc\cfg
..\bin\dosql.csapl csamcdsn CSCec83770.sql
2) Create a buffer overflow exclusion rule for the troublesome processes.
3) Generate rules
However, these steps have a side effect, which is to turn off all COM rules in
processes which have buffer overflow exclusions."
I did this and the problem was fixed.

THANKS TOM,
I completed step 1.
Our agents are only in test mode at the moment do I need to do the other steps yet ?
Is there any thing else I have to do on the client side that is trying to run Autocad LT or is it OK to test ?
Once again thank you very much for you help.

Chris, I believe you do because it will trigger AutoCAD lite's protection even if CSA is in test mode. I may be mistaken since it's been a while since I did it.
I had to add the AutoCAD Lite app class to the Trojan Detection exception for "Writing memory owned by other applications" and "Accessing system functions from code executing in data or stack space"
If it works, please rate this response so others can benefit too.
Thanks

We chose not to implement the Cisco provided 'fix' under 4.0. However, I'm pleased to report that with the inclusion of the application class '<*Processes requiring Kernel Only Protection>' in 4.5, we were able to clear this up. While the migration (it's not an upgrade, no matter what they tell you) to 4.5 is painful, it solves this, and other issues we've had.
So, migrate to 4.5 and an application control rule to 'Add New Process to Application Class' whenever '
Works a treat for us.

Thanks for the tip. I'll use it when we migrate and it will save a bit of time.

We umm'd and err'd and decided not to go with the "fix" for v4.0. Have now upgraded to v4.5 and applied the new rule as above.. all works great!
