IP Flow ingress,egress Vs Monitor,Exporter,Collector

Hi All,

Currently i am studying for SENSS.

Here i came across IP flow concept which includes Monitor,Exporter,Collector.

R1(Config)# Interface Gi 0/0

R1(Config-if)#ip flow monitor FLOWMONITOR input

But, At my organisation we generally use IP flow ingress & egress commands to get Netflow from Device.

R1(Config)# Interface Gi 0/0

R1(Config-if)#ip flow ingress

R1(Config-if)#ip flow egress

Are these two ways of doing netflow? Does they have any difference ?

And could you please brief about flexible-Netflow ?
