Ironport EOL

I have an Ironport that is on EOL, (ESA-C680-K9).
My antivirus and antispam have not been updated since September 2021.

Is it a problem that the equipment is in EOL for the update of the signatures?

Yes surely it is a problem, and more than that, the equipement is out of support which is risky.
