Hi Friend,
If ISG node or ISG hardware fails and SSO (HA) configured between 2 ISG.
then current subscribers session gets inactive or that also gets switch-over to backup ISG.
When a subscriber logs on, ISG sends an Accounting-Start record to the AAA server. When a subscriber logs off, ISG sends an Accounting-Stop record to the AAA server
but in the Hardware or node failure that account stop record will not be send to AAA server then AAA acts as that user session already log-on so AAA not going permit to log-on the existing clients with back-up ISG
what is the possibility to switch-over the wireless client traffic without disconnecting the session of client in hardware failure of ISG.
Regards,
Ravi bagal

This is the Cisco Support Community. ISG is a Juniper firewall.
You would be better served inquiring on a Juniper site.

ISG(intelligent service gateway) its framework structure which is used in wireless ISP network.
Its cisco frame structure only.

Hi, Not sure if anyone seeing this anymore.
I have a similar scenario and was wondering what actually happens if the physical ISG ( in a SSO configuration scenario) goes down.
How are the client sessions re-established for AUTH / ACC with the AAA server ?
Thank you.
