-----Problem-----

The 'Management Center for Cisco Security Agents' database is approaching its maximum allowable size (2GB). Please purge old data.

-----Action Taken-----

I used the "Event Set" tools to delete "All Events", but it doesn't make this error go away.

I'm sure this is easy, but can somebody help me?

Sorry if I wasn't clear...

This is an event from CSAMC v4

Look at this document. Go to 10-8 (page 314) Shrink the CSA MC database.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/cw2000_b/vpnman/vms_2_2/csa_4_0/csa40usr/3957.pdf

Has anyone expericed the following error after trying to shrink the database. If so what did you do to resolve the issue?

Msg 911, Level 16, State 1, Server ***, Line 1

Could not locate entry in sysdatabases for database 'csa'. No entry found with

that name. Make sure that the name is entered correctly.

Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Server ***, Line 1

BACKUP LOG is terminating abnormally.

Yes, I did. Use csamc instead of csa in the syntax and it should work

the 2GB limit is due to MSDE. Try using the OSQL commands to purge the database manually of all the events.

The OSQL command reference is available on Microsoft site.
