Hello.
We added a firepower in our network to protect our servers.
Since, our users have problems with Oracle applications.
Our Oracle DBs are in a different security zone from our users.
There is ACLs to allow the DB's trafic between clients and servers.
Typical case is :
- User open the app and use it with no problem
- He goes to another task, keeps the app open, but does not use it
- When he comes back to the app, the app error says "ora-03114 : not connected to oracle" whe he wants to make an action (ie make a request to the DB i suppose)
Close and relunch the app make it works again.
We suspects the TCP session timeout.
Someone got a similar problem and solved it by setting up a prefilter rule for the oracle traffic.
Our firewall does not have any additional inspection like IPS or antimalware.
Does fastpathing the traffic could solve out problem considering the fact above?
