Outbound-Inbound traffic

We have several mail-servers (domains) on different vlans on the Inside on a ASA5510 ver. 8.3. And they have different public IP-addresses for incomming mail and for rdns. But to send mail in between these mailservers, how do we configure the ASA so that outbound mail from one domain (mail-server) to a public domain (a public IP-address on the same ASA) can re-enter to this public IP-address (mail-server) on the same ASA. Or must we configure routes between the vlans wich is not preferred?

Regards

/Peter

Hi,

I am not sure if I understood you correctly. Are you saying that you want the local server to be able to use the public IP address of the mail servers configured on the ASA to connected to them?

If this is the case could you perhaps show us the ASA configurations. I am wonder if each server is behind a different interface/subinterface of the ASA?
