Pix501 ComSettings?

I just wonder which com-settings I should use in hyperterminal when I download my config-file through

Com1 on my laptop.

Must I do a reset of the pix before I download the new config-file? And how do I do that?

Kindly, Jorgen Fransson

9600, data bits 8, no parity, stop bits 1, flow control hardware.

you can do a write terminal in your comm session, and cut and paste the file to notepad.

you might want to reset the pix before you download the config file, but it depends on how you want to do things.

clear config should wipe the current pix config, but not what is on flash. so if you do a clear config, and then cut and paste in the new config to hyperterminal, and then write memory, you will have changed the running config and saved it

Thank you for your quick response!

Do you you think I must reset my pix?

Or can I just paste the new file in hyperterminal

and choose "paste to host"?

This is the old config-file:

The only thing that is changed is the two last rows.

I need to open up to ports to allow PcAnywhere to

run through the pix. Thats all I want to do...
