I am receiving this message while trying to import configuration from firewalls using the management center for firewalls from VMS tool:
1 errors 0 warnings
Unable to talk to the server 172.22.1.252. Please check the username and password.
I just checked the password and username this information is correct.
I was able to import a configuration from a firewall connected in my LAN segment, those that send this message are connected in other LAN segments via a public VPN. I can connect them via ssh, but cannot import them neither access them via PDM. Do I have to ask my service provider to open a port to access them trough the VPN?
Thanks for any help,

Hi,
Import works on SSL (HTTPS), you need to have HTTP yourIP outside command on the remote pix, as well as
http server enable etc.
If you cant access the pix via PDM, you will not be able to import.
Make sure that your service provider is allowing your HTTPS traffic as well

I am sure https is open trough the VPN, http server is enable and I added the ip from where I have my VMS running http a.b.c.d mask outside, did the same with another equipment for tests, but still have the problem, I only can access remote firewalls with ssh, but via VMS neither PDM.
Only firewall that is on same segment than VMS is working OK and already managed via VMS.
What else could be the problem?

it´s solved: This is the issue: When I upgraded my firewalls from 6.2.3 to 6.3.3 the PDM was not loaded, so it was not installed. I had to get it and install it separetely.
Do you know why the PDM is not installed when upgrading to 6.3.3? It happened with 4 upgrades I performed..
So case closed

pdm, by default is not installed when u upgrade the software. and older version of pdm is not compatible with teh new version of PIX code.
but u should have the old version of PDM, and sometimes i Have seen it working with newer pix codes.
