I'm about to upgrade the sw on our pix from 6.0(1) to 6.11, this being the first time i've done this i'm not sure if a reboot of the pix is necessary, the docs just say 'copy tftp flash' is all i need to do. Do I need to power cycle?
Usually you load IOS in monitor mode right? Wouldn't that be considered a reboot? Maybe not on a 525 though. Once the flash is re-written, usually a wr mem follows, as well as a reload. I don't believe an actual power cycle is necessary.
