Session command to FWSM fails

When trying to connect to a customer's FWSM in a 6509 chassis, i get a timeout.

6509#session slot 9 proc 1

The default escape character is Ctrl-^, then x.

You can also type 'exit' at the remote prompt to end the session

Trying 127.0.0.91 ...

% Connection timed out; remote host not responding

I guess this works via interface EOBC0/0... Is there any way to debug this?

What you could do is to see if the LED's indicate that the card is powered on and that it's status is ok. A Green color indicated that all diagnostic tests were passed and that the module is operational. A red, orange or off indicates a problem with the FWSM. Next you should try and fix the problem to either the Chassis or the card itself. The simplest way to do this is to use the card on another chassis if one is available. Finally, bug CSCdy77690 deals with a related issue where the presence of the "ip telnet source-interface" command results in failure to establish session to the FWSM. You should probably check your config and see if the said command exists in your config. If it does, removing the same would be necessary.
