Hello,
I use a software tool to download cisco configuration into a viewable text file. Instead of using tftp protocol for the download, this tool uses snmp.
The command 'snmp-server community <text>', text being the community string, enables the FW to be accessed with Read Only privileges. Is there a command that i can input to create a Read Write community string? The Cisco config download tool requires snmp RW authorization.
Thank You!
Marvin

Thanks for the input but the command: 'snmp-server community private RW' is not being taken. It seems to me that there can't be any parameter after the community name which in this case is private.
I have a PIX 515 FW v.6.2(1). I'm still puzzled??

Pix FW does not support RW, only RO.
