I'm running a 4210 Sensor, Version 4.0(2)S47. I'm waiting on the memory upgrade provided under contract before I can update any higher.
Is there a way to test telnet between the sensor device and the router? Ping stops at the firewall (we don't allow any ICMP traffic). I can't find a "telnet" command.
Thanks!

you need to create a service accout..go into config mode (conf t) then:
user service priv service pass
then log out as cisco and log back in as service. Telnet will now work

log into the sensor as a user with service priviledges. You will be at a command prompt. From there you can telnet.

I'm using the "cisco" login (with a new password. here is the screen when I try to telnet:
EXTERNALIDS# telnet

Thanks!
