If anyone knows of a workable VPN solution that can tunnel the "apple-talk" protocol, please let me know. I was thinking of using cisco routers, but ipsec will not tunnel apple-talk.......

A GRE Tunnel will support AppleTalk, and you can then use IPSec to encrypt the GRE. Check out http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios120/12cgcr/inter_c/iclogint.htm for information on GRE tunnels. Another nice feature of using a GRE tunnel is you can run any routing protocol you like over it, including RTMP or AppleTalk EIGRP.
