Hi,
I want to upgrade the new IOS on the above router to the following:
c7200-jk9s-mz.123-15.bin
Min memory: 128MB (cisco recommend)
Min Flash: 48MB (Cisco recommend)
c3745-advipservicesk9-mz.123-15.bin
Min memory: 128MB (Cisco recommend)
Min Flash: 32MB (Cisco recommend)
Currently my router is running on the following from show version:
1) cisco 3745 (R7000) processor (revision 2.0) with 118784K/12288K bytes of memory.
151K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.
31360K bytes of ATA System CompactFlash (Read/Write)
2) cisco 7206VXR (NPE300) processor (revision D) with 122880K/40960K bytes of memory.
46976K bytes of ATA PCMCIA card at slot 0 (Sector size 512 bytes).
4096K bytes of Flash internal SIMM (Sector size 256K).
I am puzzle whether to go ahead on this upgrade cause i don't think the memory meet the min. requirement by cisco, am i correct?
Can anyone advise whether should i purchase new memory or existing one is okay to go??
Thanks.

I think you are ok to go ahead with your upgrade (assuming that the figures you quote as Cisco recommendation are correct - I did not bother to check). What may be confusing you is the way that IOS reports memory. The IOS usually takes the total memory and allocates some amount of memory for I/O and the rest of memory is for processing. The show version typically shows the memory division. So in this line:
1) cisco 3745 (R7000) processor (revision 2.0) with 118784K/12288K bytes of memory.
the 12288K is the I/O memory and the 118784K is the rest. Add them together and you have the recommended amount of memory.
