Will ip plus 12.2.8(T) Perform ssh on an 806 router. According to this link it will http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122relnt/800/rn800xe.htm

But, when I place it on a router, it fails to work. Am I doing something wrong, or is this the wrong IOS?

I recommend you to download IP/FW PLUS 3DES feature set, it requires 20 MB DRAM and 8 MB FLASH
