RADkit version 1.7.0 - session.logs are automatically after 3 weeks

Dear sirs or madam,

I installed RADkit version 1.7.0 and I have successfully opened 2 Cisco TAC cases where TAC engineer accessed the correct devices in my network. The sessions have been logged in the "GUI folder" Monitoring / session-logs. I have a screenshot proving that there was a TAC access on the 2nd of October 2024. I log into my RADkit installation today (19 days later) but the folder "GUI folder" Monitoring / session-logs is empty. I have now no evidence what was done by what engineer on what of my components. From the audit perspective this is a NO GO. I must be able to access the session-logs information for many months. Ideally I must be able to decide on my own how long I want these files to be accessible. Please introduce a feature which allows me to adjust how many weeks/months I can keep the session-logs files. (I will need something like 6 or 12 months.).

Thanks and best regards
Adrien

Hi @CSCO10228004

On the Service side, under setting tab the variable "service.logging.session_log_max_age" by defaults is set up to 15 days. Cleanup only happens while RADKit Service is running.

if you think you will need to save the session files for longer, you can change it from your Radkit service GUI. you can also stream the logs to an internal logs system like splunk or syslog ... (if you are using any) just by pointing it to Radkit logs folder

is that answer your question ?

Kind regards,
Mohamed
