Well, the title says it all. I read about a zero day Java vulnerablilty that basically said for now, turn off Java on all your browsers. So I thought to myself, "Hey, the Cisco RV042 has a Java checkbox in the firewall settings". So I turn it on. And guess what, the firewall was blocking JavaScript.
Now I know that they both have Java in the name, but Java is a COMPLETELY different beast than JavaScript.
Am I wrong to assume that the "Java" setting should block the Java .jar files?
Am I wrong to assume that JavaScript (and VBScript) scripting is different than Java bytecode packages?
