Hello,
So below is the current setup. Currently all the computers in the LAN is using DSL modem/router as the Internet gateway.
Cisco 1905 have got only two GigabitEthernet interface and currently one is connected to the LAN and other to the point-to-point lease line modem
Now I want to implement Cisco 1905 as an Internet gateway and as a connectivity device to the branch office. Is it possible to use Cisco (with 2 interfaces) for both connections ?
Regards,
Tony

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. So u mean to say I can connect the point-to-point lease line modem to the switch and configure sub interfaces for both LAN and PtoP modem ?

Tony

I would break the link to the modem into an interface with two sub interfaces, each running its own vlan (one for each modem). Run dot1q encapsulation for each vlan on the sub interfaces down to the switch and vlan each Modem off on their own links on this switch. This leaves you with one gig link available for the clients. For more information research router-on-a-stick!
