A Link Aggregation Question

Hello,

I have 2811 Cisco ISR and two ISP links - one is 8 Mbps and the second is 4 Mbps. The question is - is it possible to aggregate link speed up to 12 Mbps?

A Link Aggregation Question

if you use two default routes as described above you will have your load to be distributed over the two links

however by using PBR as per the example above better because you can control which type of traffic where to be sent as you have one link 4 and the other one is 8 M

A Link Aggregation Question

Hi Safar

is this from one ISP or two diffrent ISPs i mean the links ?

in either way you could you routing load balancing by having two differnt default routes each point to a different ISP

this will do per session load balancing which is not 50 - 50 load balancing if you want it 100% you might need a separate device called loabalancer

however you can better utilize you both links by using PBR with IPSLA

for example you can send all http traffic over the 4 M link while ftp and other download traffic over the 8 M link and the tcan work as back up to teach other in the case one of them down

please refr to the following link for set by step example

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-8313

or if you want advanced way for load balancing you can try PfR
