I have a cisco 2 ASR1006 routers that are running a BGP session on loopbacks. The loopbacks can reach each other via EIGRP configured on four links. My two routers are running at 50% CPU utilization. Will the routers be able to handle BFD if I am to apply it EIGRP and BGP sessions

Hello @charles-mashambaaa
Configure moderate BFD timers to reduce CPU load. For example, set a detection multiplier of 3 with an interval of 300ms to strike a balance between failure detection speed and resource usage.
Start by enabling BFD on a limited number of sessions with moderate timers and closely monitor the CPU usage. Adjust configurations as needed to prevent performance degradation.

Use feature bfd offload if your router supports it
