Hi
We have 3 Cisco 837 routers. When swapped around on our 2 Mbps connection, 2 of these routers fail to download faster than 1.2Mbps, while 1 router can download consistently at 2Mbps.
The 2 slow 837s were purchased in 2003/2004 while the faster 837 was purchased in 2005. All are running the same configuration and the same IOS version (C837-K9O3SY6-M, Version 12.3(2)XC2) and are connected with the same cable.
The faster router has the PLUS feature set installed. It has slightly more memory(48MB vs 32MB).
Our big question is why we only get 1.2Mbps out of the 2 slow routers. Surely a standard 837 without the PLUS feature set should be able to manage greater than 1.2Mbps!
We also notice the the 2 slower 837s seem to have a large number of CRC errors on the ATM interface (40000 vs about 70 for the faster router).
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
