Hello,
Does anyone know what is the command that will ONLY clear my E1 counters? Its a 3800 series router.
I think the command is "clear counters serial" then I enter 4/0/1 but it says command is unrecognized.
E1 4/0/1 is down.
Applique type is Channelized E1 - balanced
Description: Cisco TAC default config for BR
Receiver has loss of signal.
alarm-trigger is not set
Version info Firmware: 20090113, FPGA: 20, spm_count = 0
Framing is NO-CRC4, Line Code is HDB3, Clock Source is Line.

Use "clear controller" EXEC command to reset the T1 or E1 Controller.
Clear controller {t1 | e1} Slot/Port
Clear controller {t1 | e1} number
t1 = specifies the T1 Controller
e1 = specified the e1 controller
Slot/Port = Backplane slot number or port number on the interface.
number = Network Interface Module Number, in the range of 0 through 2.

Hello
Clear counters- but this will clear all interface counters - not sure of a specific command have you checked to see what options the iOS is offering
via ..clear counters ?

This will reset the counter and not the configurations correct?
