Hi all,
during the weekend i had a power failure on a cisco2800 series router. after this the router hang in rommon.
For some reason i'm no more able to boot the system from flash.
Please see the output in screenshot 1
After this i did a tftpdnld from rommon. This failed too. see screenshot2
does anyone have an idea
1. why i'm unable to boot the router, even if the IOS ran before?
2. why i'm unable to do a tftpdnld?
thanks for helping me
Dieter

Hi,
Seems like your IOS in flash is corrupted. Cncerning tftpdnld you didn't answer y to the question so the default is n and so you aborted the process.

Hi Alain,
thanks for your feedback.
i think so too, the IOS seems to be corrupted, this brought me to boot another IOS stored in the file systems, but this didn't work either.
this brought me to the next step, doing a tftpdownload.
And, yes i didn't answer the question, cause i didn't get the question on console. my second try was to answer with yes, even if i was not asked with "y" but this didn't work either.

hi,
then maybe you could try xmodem to retrieve the IOS.

Hi Alain,
sorry for the delay in answering your post.
tftpdnld didn't work either, i got an error message indicating that RAM is damaged.
So i decided to order new hardware, as soon as this device will be in use, this case will be solved.
regards
Dieter
