Giant count increment on interface

Hi ,

I am facing giant count increment on few interfaces. details are below

Module :

WS-X6748-GE-TX

IOS : c7600rsp72043-advipservicesk9-mz.122-33.SRE5.bin

i have refered the bug CSCsa74605 , CSCek38622 etc, but the bug is not listed in know affected version of

122-33.SRE5.bin

CSCek38622    Giant Frames Incorrectly Recorded on WS-X6748-GE-TX (Cosmetic)

Bug is fixed only on TRUNK port, not on access port.

You can't change MTU on interface due to cisco design.

By default, jumbo frame support is enabled on 6748 and you can't change mtu on interface.

If you more questiion then please raise a tac case.

thanks for your reply,

the bud id CSCek38622 is pointing to 12.2(18)SXF4. But the router is using IOS 12.2(33)SRE5. I could not see any related bug in 12.2(33)SRE5.

We have changed the MTU to 9216 but still  the problem presist.

On wireshark, the maximum packet length is 1514.
