I wan to know how much is the overhead of gre and the affect in network

any suggest?

The overhead of GRE is the 24 bytes that it adds to the packet for the GRE header. If you are sending 64 byte packets the percentage of overhead is more significant and if you are transmitting 1500 byte packets the percentage of overhead is much smaller. What is the traffic mix in your network?
